Visit Faroe Islands
a true adventure
Tourism in the Faroe Islands has been growing at a high pase, increasing the need for promotional content for their marketing department. I was asked to come to the Faroe Islands with the goal of producing unique looking images, preferably from some of the lesser visted locations. It was a fun challenge, finding ways to document the islands in a way that few have done before and skipping many of the typical shots.
Never have I prepared for a project as extensively as this one which turned out to be as important as ever. Here are some of the results.
The weather in the Faroe Islands is notorious for two things, rain and fog, which was exactly what I got almost the whole ten days I spent exploring the islands. My schedule was pretty intense the whole time, waking up early and coming home late, only to get a few hours of sleep while my clothes dried before heading back out. With little sleep, a lot of long hikes and wet to the bone I really got a chance to experience and document the islands in their raw state.
It was a great pleasure working with Visit Faroe Islands and I recommend everyone that’s into true adventures and hasn’t yet been there, to start researching and see how much beauty they have to offer.
